Respected Principal Sir, Sir Madam, and my dear friends. Today I am going to tell you about Savitribai Phule. Savitribai Phule was an Indian social reformer, Educationalist and Poet from Maharashtra. She was born on 3rd January 1831. She is regarded as the first female teacher of India.
Along with her husband Jyotirao Phule. She played an important and vital role in improving women’s rights in India.
She was died on 10th March 1897. She is a real inspiration for all of us. I salute this great social reformer.

Good Morning everyone. My Name is Chetan. Today I am going to speak a few lines about Savitribai Phule. Savitribai Phule was an Indian Social Reformer. Educationalist and poet. She was born on 3 January 1831 in the village of Naigaon in Satara District, Maharastra.
She was the eldest daughter of Lakshmi and Khandoji Nevase Patil. Savitribai was married to Jyoti Rao Phule in 1840 at the age of nine.
At the time of her marriage, Savitribai was illiterate, Jyoti Rao Educated Savitribai at their home. On 1 January 1848, she started the first School of girls in Bhide Wada, Pune.
She opposed many bad practices like child marriage. Sati and Keshvapan.
Savitribai Phule was the first female teacher of India. Unfortunately Savitribai died on March 10th, 1897 due to the bubonic plague at the age of 66. Her devotion has set an example and has inspiration many Indian Women.
