Speech on Republic Day in English – 26 January 2024

Good Morning everyone ! Respected Principal Sir, Teachers and My Dear Friends. My name is Veda. As we all know that we all have gathered here on the very special occasion of our nation which is called Republic Day.

So, al first I wish all of you a very Happy Republic Day ! And I would like to thank my class teacher for giving me such a great opportunity to speak on this proud day.

We celebrate Republic Day in India on 26th January every year because the Constitution of India came into force on this day in 1950. Today, we are celebrating the 75th Republic day of India. Republic means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only the people have the right to choose their representatives as political leaders to lead the country in the right direction.

Therefore, India is a republic country where the people choose their leaders as the President and Prime Minister. To make India a free country, our freedom fighters fought continuously against the British, so we can never forget their dedication to our country. We should salute them on such great occasions by remembering them. They have fulfilled their responsibility by giving us freedom and making a constitution.

The constitution of India is the supreme law of India. Our constitution is the largest written constitution in the whole world Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is the father of our constitution. The constitution provides us the fundamental rights to its citizens, irrespective of the cast, gender, religion.

Therefore, it becomes our fundamental duty to protect and respect the system and constitution of our country.

Addressing you today on this auspicious occasion, I end my speech by paying my respects and tributes to those great revolutionaries.

Good morning everyone. Respected Principal Sir, Teachers, parents and all my dear friends. My name is Vedant. First of all I wish you a very Happy Republic Day. Today is 26th January and we are celebrating 75th Republic day of our nation.

Republic day is a national festival of India. We celebrate this day with great pride and happiness. On this day 1950, the constitution of India came into force. The Constitution of India is the supreme law of India. Our constitution is the largest written constitution in the world. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar is the father of our constitution. The Constitution provides us the fundamental rights to its citizens. irrespective of the cast, gender, religion, education and more.

Our freedom fighters fought continuously against British, so we can never so we can never forget their dedication to our country. We should salute them on such great occasions by remembering them. They have fulfilled their responsibility by giving us freedom and making a constitution. So, we should always respect our constitution.

Republic day makes us realize to importance of democracy. It teaches us to live in peace and unity. So, let us pledge that we will make our country the best country in the world. I am proud to be an Indian and I love my country very much.
