What is PM-DAKSH-DEPwD Digital Portal 2024 ?
Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities implements ‘National Action Plan for Skill Development of Persons with disability (PwDs)’ which was launched in March 2015 as a Central Sector Scheme. NAP for Skill Development of PwDs is implemented under the umbrella scheme – “Scheme for Implementation of Rights of Persons with disability Act 2016 (SIPDA)”. Under NAP for Skill Development of PwDs skill training is provided to all 21 types of disabilities through various Government and Non-Government Organizations empanelled as training partners (ETPs) with the Department.
Objectives of the Scheme:
Provide skill training to Persons with disability (PwDs) for enabling them to become self-reliant and productive members of the society in order to achieve gainful wage/self-employment and to integrate them with mainstream society.
