About GCAS Portal :-
According to the new National Education Policy, the education department of the Gujarat government has drastically changed the admission process by integrating technology to make college admissions easier for students and simplify the admission process. Accordingly you have to do mandatory registration on GCAS i.e. Gujarat Comman Admission Portal. Then you have to do online registration for admission in 15 Government Colleges, Granted Colleges or Self Finance Colleges of Gujarat University for admission to various courses of college higher education such as graduation level, postgraduate level or PhD or any faculty for studies starting from June 2024. Steps for – How to Register on GCAS Portal :-
To register on GCAP portal you have to follow below steps.
Step : 1 Go to GCAS Portal – Students search GCAS in google chrome browser to register, they will get a portal called Gujarat Common Admission Service (Gujarat Common Admission Portal). Click on it and GCS website will open.
Step : 2 Find the registration link – it will show two tabs on the right side of the page header, already registered and apply for new applicants. Those who have not yet registered should click on Apply Now.
Step : 3 Fill the registration form – After clicking on it the form will open and fill all the details provided in it carefully. Students should keep their name as per mark sheet of class 12. Also filling the date of birth as mentioned in the mark sheet of class 10.
Then fill all the required information carefully. The phone number and email id are also to be displayed. Display the phone number as active so that all admission related notifications are received through messages. Also the email id must be shown correctly.
Then you have to create user id with the help of username and OTP provided by GCAS, and change the password immediately.
Step : 4 Upload Necessary Documents – You have to upload all the documents to be uploaded along with the applicable caste certificate and disability certificate if applicable After filling the form completely, check once again and submit.
Step : 5 Login to the portal – Login with the provided username and password you have to enter the university college and course. Students can choose multiple colleges simultaneously.
Step : 6 Pay Online Fee – After that the fee also has to be paid with the help of online gateway. After the final submission of the application form by the student, the student will get the pdf of the application in the e-mail provided by the student.
