What is Cinemahotsav Program Competition ?
Cinemahotsav – India is commemorating 75 years of its Independence by holding activities, programmes and events celebrating the beliefs, ideas and vision of India. As part of the commemoration, it is proposed to have a Cinema Ka Amrit Mahotsav aptly titled “Cinemahotsav” as Cinema in India has a universal appeal cutting across regions and languages and reflects Indian ethos, culture and aesthetics. as a part of this and to ensure citizen’s participation the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting is conducting Popular polls in three given categories:
Categories
i. 75 Best Patriotic and Socially Relevant Theme Feature Films
ii. 75 Best Patriotic Songs in Feature Films
iii. 75 Best Bhajans and Devotional Songs in Feature Films
- It is Hosted on MyGov Site. Preference sought in each category in each language with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 preferences.
- An indicative list of entries in various languages such as Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Punjabi in the above three categories have been prepared and vetted by Selection panel consisting of eminent personalities and will be hosted in MyGov website.
- These languages were chosen as Film Industries in these languages were active before 1947 i.e. before independence. However, entries have also been included for Manipuri, Konkani and Sanskrit in some of the categories. The rest of the languages can also be opted in ‘any other language’
- MyGov site will host the poll in 3 categories, seek preferences in each category in each language with a minimum of 3 and maximum of 10 preferences.
