Awareness cum Capacity Building Programme on Hospitality Based Courses & Exposure Visit for Principals & Teachers of CBSE schools
The NEP 2020 envisages that by 2025, at least 50% of learners shall have vocational exposure through school and higher education. The policy also states that there will be ‘no hard separation’ between the ‘vocational and academic streams.
An Awareness cum Capacity Building workshop for Hospitality Based Courses for the Principals and Teachers of affiliated schools is being organized to acquaint them with the Skill Subjects of Food Production (409, 809) & Front Office Operations (410, 810) at Chandigarh.
The Board is also planning to institutionalize a mechanism through which School leaders will be given exposure through various institutions of eminence in India so that they can collaborate with such institutes in future to integrate skill (vocational) education into mainstream education and also utilize their infrastructure in time shift manner (or during vacations). Therefore, a short Exposure Visit to Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management(CIHM)/ Visit to Hotel Chandigarh Beckons, – a Room Division Tour has been scheduled accordingly.
