Soil is not just dirt. But a valuable resource that we should protect for future generations. Let’s celebrate the things that hold the roots of our lives, celebrate soil.. and My name is Jahnvi student of class 9th presenting todays assembly on the tye occasion of ‘World Soil Day’.
Our soil is facing numberous challenges including degradation, erosion, pollution and lose of biodiversity. Let’s we all take part in the world soil day celebration and we can let everyone know the importance of soil health.
We thank you, lord, for the gift of soil… and with this, let us start today’s assembly with god’s prayer. Join your hands and close your eyes.

“World Soil Day’ was established in the year 2013 by the food and agriculture organization of the UN. And till the date we are celebrating. Why is soil important? Why do we celebrate ‘World Soil Day’? Let us know more about this years theme. And I Invite on stage Shivam from class 8th to deliver speech.

- There are 18 naturally occurring chemical elements essential to plants from which 15 elements found from soil.
- Agricultural production will have to be increased by 60% to meet the global food demand around 2050.
- 33% of soils are eroded.
- Up to 58% more food could be produced through sustainable soil management.
